EMSARN Data Collection

All EMSARN web-based data collection tools are developed by the EMSARN investigators in concert with the University of Pittsburgh Center for Research on Healthcare Data Center.  The Data Center oversees many clinical and observational studies.  The Data Center utilizes highly secure data collection tools and maintains study data on secure servers located at the University of Pittsburgh.  The Data Center assigns randomly generated ID#s / survey ID#s to all data collected by EMSARN.  The Data Center then provides EMSARN investigators with coded datasets.  EMSARN investigators then provide EMS agencies with aggregated statistics in report format.  All reports are assigned a random ID# to protect the identity of the agencies.  All EMSARN projects are reviewed and approved by the University of Pittsburgh Institutional Review Board.
