Sadly or happily no, depending on how you look at it.

Why did you come to Pittsburgh?

Great question.  The first time I came to the city was for my interview.  From the onset, I felt comfortable here.  The opportunities are endless, but ultimately the program felt like extended family.  Three months into my residency, I now know for sure I made the right decision.  The city is also beautiful and has a lot of character and spirit.

Random thoughts:

In my free time (despite your fears about residency, you will have some free time), I have enjoyed getting to know the city:  the zoo, the sports teams, museums, Kennywood, watching them film the new "Batman" movie, among other things.  I also enjoy trying all the new restaurants and bars around town.  You never know when you might run into Ben Roethlisberger (just ask my co-intern, Jon Koehler).  Lastly, some of my hobbies include jumping off cliffs into bodies of water, watching Spanish telenovelas, and observing Matt Staum try to drink cheap beer with a straight face.  Come to Pittsburgh, you won't regret it.  Go Dawgs!
